I'm super pumped for today's challenge because we're going to dive into one of the steps after I introduce the challenge to you. I'm super pumped for today's challenge because we're going to dive into one of the best ways to start automating your business and saving you time.

Speaker 1:

If you've listened to previous episodes, like episode 33, create an FAQ for your website or episode 34, automate your email with auto replies you know I'm talking about taking the pressure off your shoulders and letting technology do some of that heavy lifting. So let's add to that. I know, as a handmade t-shirt seller, you're juggling multiple things. You're managing orders, social media, customer questions and then don't forget you're also the creative brains behind your business. But what if I told you that you could save a lot of time by just setting up a few simple text clips that will help you reduce the time it takes to make repetitive posts. That's exactly what we're doing today with text clips and sentence shares, so by the end of this episode, you'll know exactly how to set up text clips to automate your responses and save you time every day.

Speaker 2:

You're listening to Turn Down the Hustle, the podcast dedicated to transforming how you run your creative online t-shirt business by working smarter, not harder, so you can spend more time with your why, people and passions that matter most in your life. So throw on your favorite graphic tee and turn up the heat. Press, because it's time to turn down the hustle. Here's your host digital marketer. Cold brew lover, t-shirt maker, freckled hype girl and owner of Sunkist Virtual Assistant, amy.

Speaker 1:

Before we get into text clips, let's talk about Centsare. What exactly is SendShare and why should I care? Sendshare is an all-in-one social media management tool that allows you to schedule posts and automate your content. It's specifically built for creative entrepreneurs like you and it helps streamline your social media process so you can spend more time creating and less time scrolling or trying to reinvent the wheel of what to post. And here's the best part yet If you haven't signed up for SendShare yet at the time of the recording of this episode, you can grab 60 days free with the code found in my show notes below this episode. Whenever you sign up with my link and use that, I highly recommend you just give SendShare a try, even if you don't decide to go on to a paid subscription, which is currently $10 a month, or roughly $8.33 a month if you pay for a year at a time once that free trial runs out. But again, you can still take advantage of those 60 days free. I highly recommend you try it out simply for the content library. It's amazing. It's loaded with tons of content that you can schedule to your business. Also, another feature I love of Censure is the batch post feature. It's where you can select multiple posts at a time. Select them to schedule and then let's say, all of these posts you want to go out on a Monday at 7 pm, you just need to set the interval for the first post Monday 7 pm and then set the interval for every seven days. Hit batch post and then you'll see all of the intervals apply and then you can just hit schedule that easy. You can schedule months of content that quick.

Speaker 1:

So now let's move into a specific feature we want to talk about with Censure, and that's text clips. Let's talk about the why behind some of those text clips. As I mentioned in an earlier episode 33, automation is all about freeing up your time. It's about reducing the constant hustle and focusing on what most, whether that's designing your next product or maybe taking time back for your why. I'm a big advocate for identifying your why in your business. Everyone has a why. That's why you started your business. So is it so bad that we get our work done in our small business and now we have time to go back to our core identity or focus or values or the people we love of why we started this business in the first time, to spend time with them?

Speaker 1:

Text clips allows you to automate those paragraphs or links you're always typing out all of the time. How many times a day do you find yourself having to type out here's my link to order, or how to order, or all of your size posts? You feel like you're always rewriting that over and over again. Rewriting that over and over again. Well, text clips is going to be perfect for you. So you'll already have all of that content written out and you can add, like either quick taglines at the end of all of your posts, or it can be some of those lengthier posts.

Speaker 1:

Think about it. What if you didn't have to type out those long posts ever again? That's where Censure clips come in. You set them up once, save them and use them across your Facebook group page or any other social media platform without wasting your time typing all of those words out again. This way, your messages will stay consistent and your level of quality won't drop off.

Speaker 1:

Because, if you think about it, sometimes you're like I'm tired of responding and saying the same thing over and over again. You notice, sometimes, if you ask somebody to repeat themselves, you feel like the first time they said it probably had a lot of words. Then you're like wait, what was that? And then when they repeat it, they find a way to kind of summarize what they just said because they don't feel like saying it again. And then if you have to ask them a third time you're probably just getting like a one-liner or one word. So sometimes that can happen to us whenever we're answering questions in our small business. Sometimes the quality of us answering the same question over and over again it kind of drops off. We don't want that.

Speaker 1:

Now let's jump into how to set up these text clips in Cinture so you can see it for yourself. If you are driving right now or unable to log into a computer, don't worry about taking notes. I'm going to outline all of these steps in the show notes so you can quickly just come back and review the steps. The first thing you need to do, of course, is to sign up for Censhare. If you haven't already, you can do it right now. Scroll down to the show notes, click my link to get signed up and also type in that code to get 60 days free Currently at the time of this episode. If that expires, you will absolutely get 30 days free at a minimum.

Speaker 1:

Then I want you to go to your Cinture dashboard. Once you log in and you see the dashboard, I want you to head over and click my folders on the far left column. Once you select my folders, you're going to see at the tab at the top that says text clips. From there you're going to select the plus button at the top right of the page for my folders and then you're going to get an option that comes up that says create new text clip. The first top line think of that like your title. So enter text clip label. That's going to be something that isn't posted but it helps you remember, like what exactly is this blurb for or how do I have it saved, anything like that. That's going to help you remember how to use it in the future.

Speaker 1:

Then enter text clip content. That's specifically what's going to be posted. If you don't want that posted on your social media, don't type it in the second box. Click create and then you'll see it will save and you can create a ton of text clips. Then, when you're ready to put this to use, click back to the scheduler tab. Then you're going to go over to text clips. It's found just the right of post message. Whenever you click that drop down for text clips. You're going to go over to text clips. It's found just the right of post message. Whenever you click that dropdown for text clips, you're going to see all of the text clips you have saved. You click them and then you'll see it populate into your enter post message. So you can either add that text clip to what you've already typed out or you can use your text clip as a starting point.

Speaker 1:

So let's move into some ideas of how you can set up some of these text clips for your t-shirt business and give you some ideas or inspiration. The first thing I would say is to use a text clip as a template. So if you follow a certain post template strategy or you could even Now, let's move into different text clip ideas or strategies for your business. The first thing I would think about is templates. Is there any post template structure that you follow or you like to fill in the blank and you want to remember to replace certain words with certain? Now let's talk about some text clip ideas for your business to kind of get some of those creative juices flowing.

Speaker 1:

The first one you can build a text clip for. These might be kind of similar to your FAQs. So take a look at the work you've already done in the prior challenges, because you might just be able to copy and paste. The first one would be order confirmation. So how do you, when you make a post, to let them know that you got their order and their order's being processed and you want to tag them? Well, you would need to tag them in the comments. You couldn't do that through SendShare, but you could have a default caption that you use for that. The next one maybe your shipping policy. So if you want to make frequent reminders of your shipping policy and maybe you want to add that to a bottom of a post or something, you could add that like here's our shipping policy and then go through all of your options. Size chart is a great one. This is a great post to remind them to go check out your size chart or color chart on your website and you can create a good text clip for that. Or what about back in stock? You can create a text clip for letting them know it's back again order before it's gone. Think about gift cards or how they can go purchase one and tell them where they can do that at.

Speaker 1:

For those that do loyalty programs like Smile Rewards, those blurbs about how to sign up for Smile. What's the incentive? Like all of the points and all of that good stuff. If you go to my website, you can check out a blog that I have. If you check out the show notes, I'll leave a link below to a blog I have written on loyalty program and how to set it up and what I recommend. That way you can take a look if you're trying to set that up. But you could set up reminders for that. Also, think about whenever you're doing like Fast Finger Friday type of promotions what are you always typing out? What's your template or structure for Fast Finger Friday? That way, you just type it out once in a text clip and you can quickly add it to a post.

Speaker 1:

Think about your referral program too. If you have brand reps or affiliates, you can get them hooked up and ask them to sign up there. You could also build a text clip that says thank you for sharing my or your product. You could also create a post that says thank you for sharing whenever they get their order in the mail and maybe you have a blurb of what you want to tell them and that maybe you've added some points to their smile, rewards count or their account. Also, I like setting up text clips for links Like are you finding yourself always navigating your website to grab a certain link to a collection or an FAQ page or contact me page? All of those links that you're always going to grab? Those would make perfect text clips. If you make no other text clips, I would at least make one for all of the most popular links that you are always posting, because whenever you go to build out your posts in Cinture, now you can click just add text clip, add text clip and you don't have to keep going to grab those links.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so let's wrap all of this up. Why does any of this matter and why should you even partake in this challenge? Setting up those text clips, you're automating some of the most repetitive things you're always saying. We're also speeding up your ability to create posts and schedule all of your social media. This will save you time, it'll keep consistency throughout your business and it'll also allow you to focus on the bigger picture of creating designs for your business and moving on and to further marketing efforts, because you're freeing up some of that time. I can't stress this enough the more you automate, the less you're bogged down with some of those repetitive tasks. As you continue to implement these little hacks like TextClip, you'll notice that you're working smarter, not harder, dare.

Speaker 1:

I say you're turning down the hustle.

Speaker 1:

And if you're feeling really inspired to get started, also in the show notes I've created a free folder with text prompts that you can grab from those posts pre-made and censure, copy and paste and build out your text clips.

Speaker 1:

It's all ready for you to get going, if you click that link, you'll be signing up for your free trial and ready to automate your business. For you to get going, if you click that link, you'll be signing up for your free trial and ready to automate your business. That's it for today's episode of Turn Down the Hustle.
